DISAPPOINTING NEWS FOLKS...Update 08/09/2021 from Rosudgeon Car Boot Sale Admin.

"This past 18 months has been very difficult for so many people and changed how a lot of us do things. There have been increased anxieties from many and worries about safety.

We have a very loyal band of volunteers but numbers have decreased so we put out a request for new volunteers but, like many businesses looking for staff, there aren't the people there yet.
At a meeting last week we were unable to muster sufficient volunteers to run a car boot safely this year and like all of you, we are extremely disappointed."

"We are hoping, as the pandemic recedes, you will be able to commit to a couple of hours on a Wednesday to help at the car boots which is essential to fund the Community hall, play area and sports fields.
We invite you to register an interest setting up an informal group to organise parking and signage for the car boots next year.
Please message us your contact details and we will arrange a meeting this autumn to discuss next season.
All being well… starting Wednesday 30th March 2022.

UPDATE.

21st August 2021

GREAT NEWS...

THE CAR BOOT SALES START AGAIN ON SEPTEMBER 8TH 2021 ABOUT TIME TOO.

Car boot volunteers…
Those who have helped in the past
Those who have recently volunteered
And any others wanting to help
Are all invited to attend a quick get together
on Wednesday 1st September at 7pm on the field.
Due to restart our car boot on Wednesday 8th September.

Join our car boot family!

We anticipate restarting the weekly car boots on Wednesday 8th September however this is very dependent on volunteers.

Some of our previous regulars are no longer able to volunteer for a variety of reasons.

We desperately need people to volunteer for an hour or two to park both sellers and buyers allowing this to go ahead.

if this is something that you would be able to help with (or you know someone not on Facebook that can), we would love to hear from you. Please send a private message (via the send message button on our Facebook page) with contact name and either phone number and/or email. Someone will then be in touch with you.

Please share this post!

Thank you for your support…we can’t wait to be able to open again and see you all!

The social club will remain open as usual.

We understand that lots of you will be upset that the car boots were unable to start in June like we had hoped for, but the refurbishment is long overdue.

Please spread the word with your friends and family about the change of date.

We look forward to seeing you all soon.

It is with deep regret that one of our regular traders at our boot sale has passed away after a short illness.

John Wardle selling pine furniture was instantly recognisable in his straw hat and shadowed by his faithful companion terrier Jack

Our condolences to Daughter Sarah and the rest of the family.

Rest in Peace John.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE! WHEN ATTENDING THE BOOT SALE DO NOT PARK ON PACKET LANE OR THE PRUSSIA COVE ROAD, THIS CREATES MANY PROBLEMS. THERE IS PLENTY OF ROOM ON OUR FIELDS TO PARK.
